SV HS Baseball vs GTRA
6/25 GTRA 10-0 W (7-9) (3-6 Conf.)
After a rainy wet week the Jags had GTRA Titans for the mid week matchup. The Jags sent out sophomore pitcher Karson Roper to take the mound. Karson was dominant on the mound, throwing a six inning no hitter. Karson struck out ten hitters while only walking one and hitting one batter. The key to the Jags success this year was less walks and letting their defense help. Karson did a great job of this and the offense did the rest.
Casey Hanson didn't record a hit but did his job as leadoff hitter getting on base twice and scoring twice. Casey would also record three stolen bases. Senior Tyler Jondle would continue to hit the ball hard going 2-4 with one run, one RBI and two stolen bases. Pitcher Karson Roper had a double and drove in Jondle. Mason Bahr added a single eventually Kolton Ollinger who was courtesy running for Bahr would score in a huge fifth inning where the Jags would score five runs. Logan Jaeschke would hit the ball hard every time and score behind Colin. Brady Hanson came up with a big hit and a double which brought in a runner. Lennox Allbee would walk, eventually coming around to score. The Jags finished the game in the sixth inning as a passed ball would score Colin Johnson and a miscue by the Titans defense allowed Jaeschke to score the game winning run.
