HS Baseball Opens Season vs Roland-Story

5/28 @ Roland Story 4-10 L (0-1)

The Jaguar baseball team kicked off their 2025 baseball season with a trip to Roland Story after a postponed home contest. The Jags got down early in the first inning but with three runs in the third inning the Jags clawed right back in the game making the Norsemen a little nervous. On the mound senior Gauge Jones started with Ryan Stewart in short relief and Senior Lenix Allbee came in and threw admirably.

JV 0-7 L (0-1)

A good team usually has a good JV team and it was no exception for Roland Story. The Jags lost 0 to 7 with some first game jitters out of the way Jags will look to get into the win column next game. No hits for the Jags this day but walks from Caden Kaltschnee and Nick Field. Sophomores Casey Hanson, Evan Bintz and Kolton Ollinger threw an inning each with Ollinger getting two innings of work.

JVR 5-11 L (0-1)

The Jaguar JVR team got their game in the previous night before the rain washed the JV and Varsity games away. The freshmen had some positive moments but some defensive miscues hurt the Jags overall. In the last inning the Jags surrendered a few walks which allowed the Norsemen to take the lead for good. Conner Rentz had the big hit for the Jaguars, a single with bases loaded which turned into a double and cleared the bases allowing three runs to score. Dawson Tuel would be the other hit on the shortened three inning game.
