6/29 @ Manson NW Webster 6-5 W (9-10)

A huge three run seventh inning propelled the Jaguars to their 9th win of the season.

The jags down by two runs going into the last inning came up big. Drew Corell led off the inning with a single, followed by a hit batter for Caden Larson both would eventually score. Colby Russell had a hard hit to short which after a tough call where he looked safe the Jags had one out and Justin Loseke came up with a walk to load the bases. That set the stage for Freshmen Brady Hanson to come up with a HUGE double which tied the game at five. With guys on second and third Zack Miller popped out to center with Justin Loseke tagging on the play. The Jags now held a one run lead with Manson coming to the plate. Junior Drew Corell came in and shut the door getting two weak groundballs and a strike out to end the game! Zack Miller started the game pitching well overall but a couple of walks in the 5th lead to Kaden Holder coming in to pitch. Kaden only gave up one run while pitching in a tough situation late in the game. Good to see from the young sophomore pitcher. Hits on the night for the Jaguars were Kolson Kruse, Caden larson which scored a runner, Justin Loseke with a double, while Lucas Jondle had a hit as well. The star of the game was Brady Hanson though, who was 2-4 with the huge hit of the night to tie the game. A big win for the Jaguars as they head into postseason play starting this Saturday July 2nd.  Everyone come out and support the Jaguars as they take on East Sac County at 7 pm at Jaguar field for first round of districts.

JV ACTION: 7-5 W (5-11-3)

The Jaguar JV squad finished their season in great fashion Wednesday night. The Jags

looked to be in for it after a three run second inning by the Cougars, but the Jags answered with a five run third inning which was just enough for the Jags to seal the win. Ethan Ackerson was the star of the game once again for the JV squad. He was 2-2 at the plate with a double and a run scored. He even came in to pitch the last inning throwing straight gas and striking out two batters and with runners on third and second, Elias Field made a huge stud diving play in right field to secure the win for the Jags JV squad. Gauge Jones started the game pitching and of the six outs he recorded all were strikeouts. Hits for the Jags included a double by Kaden Holder, single by Cale Van Sickle, and a huge 2 RBI single from Maverick Dorman. A good way to finish the year for the JV squad who continued to make strides all year!
