6/15 @ Coon Rapids-Bayard 0-17 (3-10)

The Coon Rapids ranked 1A team played the part of ranked team against the Jags in

their final game of the week. The Jags had bases loaded in the first inning threatening but they couldn’t muster any runs. Freshmen Ryan Stewart started on the mound for the Jags. Ryan threw well for one and two thirds innings but after an error on a hard hit ball with two outs the wheels feel off and the Raiders went on to score ten runs in the second inning. Lenix Allbee came in to replace Ryan in the second and Tyler Jondle would replace Lenix in the fourth inning, where the mercy rule came into affect with a walk off home run. There weren’t many at bats on the night for the Jags but Carl Berglund had the lone hit while Brady Hanson was hit by a pitch in his two at bats and Justin Loseke had the lone walk of the game.


JV ACTION: 7-2 W (7-3-3)

Another day another win for the Jags JV team with a huge 7 to 2 win against a good JV

team. Caden Kaltschnee was the player of the game going on the mound and pitching all four innings. Caden struck out five batters and allowed his defense to help him with plays from shortstop Gauge Jones and rest of his defense. The offense gathered a couple of walks and hits Bryson Axness scored twice after walking and being hit by a pitch. He also had a single. Lenix Allbee chipped in with a double while pitcher Caden Kaltschnee helped his cause by getting a double of his own and Casey Hanson being the courtesy runner scored twice. Dreyvon Steadman finished out the hits on the night continuing his good hitting with a double and eventually scoring.
