6/24 @ SCC 6-0 W (7-9)

Another night, another win for the Jaguar baseball team as they took conference foe South

Central Calhoun in a 6-0 ballgame. Kolson Kruse led the way on the mound. Throwing a

complete game, two hit, seven strikeout performance. The defense helped today with overall

solid defense and only a couple errors. Just what the jags need to see heading into postseason play next weekend.

The hitters for the Jags today came at big opportunities. Hane Sorenson had a huge two RBI single in the fifth inning which the Jags scored three runs. Drew corell and Zack Miller had two hits a piece while Drew's hit was a huge two out single that scored a run. The final hit came off the bat of Caden Larson. Timely hits and good pitching have the Jags their fifth conference win of the season.

JV ACTION: 12-11 W (4-10-2)

The JV team won a marathon game for the JV game against SCC. Jared Cloud made

his first pitching appearance this year with pitching running out. Jared pitched well for not

practicing much and came in and did a job. Offensively the Jags got on base and had some hits.

Gavin Weier, Ethan Ackerson and Bryson Axness led the charge offensively with some big hits. Ethan had another huge triple showing off the speed and power. It was a team effort on the offensive side of things with multiple players making huge plays, walks and hits which allowed their teammates to score. It came down to the wire but the Jags pulled off the win when SCC came to the 5 runs an inning rule and the game was over. Caden Kaltschnee came in and pitched relieving Jared in the last inning.
