6/7@ West Bend (conference) W 8-1 3-5 (2-1 conference)
The Jaguar baseball team traveled to Gilmore City to take on West Bend Wolverines. The Jags were quick to get on the scoreboard scoring three runs in the first inning all on two outs. The hits came off the bats of seniors Colby Russell and Zack Miller. Miller drove in two runners while Russell drove in one. The Jags would strike in the second again as it was the seniors doing the work. Lucas Jondle, Kolson Kruse, and Caden Larson all got on with hits and eventually scored in the inning. The Jags would chip in two more runs in the third and fourth innings with Colby Russell scoring a runner from second giving him 2 RBI’s on the day. The eight runs is all the Jags would need with Kolson Kruse on the mound pitching. Kolson gave up five hits but only one earned run. He struck out 9 of the west bend hitters while only allowing one walk. A good win for the soaring Jaguars, now to continue the winning ways as Emmetsburg comes to play Wednesday this week.
There was no JV game.
