6/2 @ MANSON NW WEBSTER 2-12 L 1-5 (0-2 Conference)

Last game of the second week of baseball saw the Jaguars fall to conference rival

Manson. In what was a close ball game until the Cougars exploded for six runs in the fourth

inning and the Jags couldn’t answer that ending in a 2-12 loss in the 6 th inning. Senior Justin Loseke saw his first pitching action of the year throwing admirably striking out six batters. Senior Drew Corell came in and a few defensive miscues haunted the Jags defense especially in that six run fourth inning. Kaden Holder came in relief for Drew recording the last out of the sixth inning. Carl Berglund continued his hitting ways going 2 for 3, both singles. Tyler Jondle, Brady Hanson and Justin Loseke finished off the hitting for the Jags with one hit a piece. Tough night after a lengthened rain delay but the Jags just need to gain some confidence and get some wins!

JV ACTION: W 11-4 (2-3-1)

The JV squad was the bright spot of the night, recording their second win on the season.

The Jags sent sophomore Lenix Allbee up on the mound and after the rough outing the night before Lenix threw really well only walking four batters all night while striking out six. Giving up four runs was all he needed though as the Jaguars scored eleven runs. Spurred on by Bryson Axness going 1 for 1 Elias Field who also had a hit and scored a runner. Kaden Holder had himself a night going 2 for 3 with a double and a single. Gavin Weier also contributed with two singles in the game. Caden Kaltschnee rounded out the hits with a double of his own. A good win for the JV squad as they look to add to that total next week!
