SV Baseball @ SCC

5/29 SCC- non conference. 7-2 W (1-1)


 The SV baseball team traveled to Lytton to take on the Titans in a non conference match up. The Jags got on the board in the second and third innings to take an early lead. Sophomore Karson Roper threw a heck of a game giving up two hits and one unearned run. He would finish with 8 strikeouts on his impressive appearance. Mason Bahr would relieve him in the 6th and 7th innings. Mason would give up one run while striking out two batters. The Jag bats were hitting tonight but some stellar play by the Titans took away some of the would be hits. Senior Gauge Jones continued his hit streak with an impressive 4 for 4 with a double and ended up scoring three times. Casey Hanson would hit the ball hard three times but ended with two hits and one walk. Casey and Gauge would score six of the seven runs in the game. Tyler Jondle had a huge double which scored Casey one of those runs. Brady Hanson finished with a double of his own, eventually scoring. Cale Vansickle had a beautiful bunt which earned himself a hit. Lenix Allbee and Karson Roper each had a hit and Kolton Ollinger got his first varsity experience pinch running for Lenix in the 7th inning eventually coming around to score the insurance run after Mason Bahr hit a sac fly to left field. A good win for the Jaguars as they open their season 1-1. 


JV: 6-1 W (1-1) 

The Junior Varsity team got their first win of the season leading off the night on the right foot. The team hit the ball hard and took advantage of a few miscues but leading the way was Kolton Ollinger with two hits and scoring two runners. Dawson Tuel would hit a double, scoring a runner as well. Caden Kaltschnee, Evan Bintz and Aiden Bintz would single in the game and NIck Field would score Kaltschnee with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. A good win for the JV team.
