6/9 @ Alta 1-11 L (2-7) (1-3 Conference)

The final game of the week saw the Jaguars traveling again this time to Alta to take on

the Warriors. Last year the Jags got the better of the Warriors giving them their only conference loss. This year the Warriors got the better of the Jags with a seven run inning which propelled them to the win. Senior Justin Loseke threw a heck of a game but with arm soreness he couldn’t go the distance. Justin did a great job keeping the warrior bats off stride and only gave up one hit. The kryptonite of the Jaguars is walks and the Jags just can’t seem to find the strike zone at times. The Jags suffered thirteen walks which is never good for the chances of winning. The Jags managed one run on the night by Brady Hanson who reached on an error early in the game. Drew Corell had the lone hit of the game for the Jaguars.

JV ACTION: 6-6 T (4-3-2)

After going Varsity first the JV team picked up a tie with Alta. Gauge Jones who finished

the varsity game got to start the JV game. Replacing him on the mound was Tyler Jondle,

Casey Hanson and Colin Johnson finished out the pitching rotation for the Jags. The Jags had things going in the last inning with bases loaded and one out but it was the Alta coaches calling game time with the Jaguars ready to score that sealed the Tie result. It was apparent the Jags were going to have a big two out single to win the game but the game was cut short. A good game against a young good JV team which sadly ended in a tie.
