6/2 @ HUMBOLDT 5-15 L (1-4)

It was a tough night on the diamond for both Jaguar teams. Always tough 3A Humboldt

was the opponent and they looked the part of a good team. The Jaguars didn’t help their cause walking nine batters throughout the contes. All three pitchers of Lenix Allbee, Gauge Jones and freshmen Ryan Stewart making their first varsity appearances which it was good to see young pitchers getting some innings. Little bit more control in the strike zone and these young pitchers could be nice pitchers in years to come. The Jaguars had a decent night at the plate. Striking first with three runs in the first inning but Humboldt came back to answer with five runs to take the lead and hold it the rest of the way. The bottom of the lineup answered the call for the Jags.

Cale Vansickle, Carl Berglund, and Tyler Jondle. Tyler’s hit drove in two runs for the Jaguars

and Cale’s hit drove in one run as well. The other Jaguar recording a hit was Brady Hanson, the Jaguars lead off hitter. Tough contest to a good team that you can’t give free bases to,

unfortunately the Jags gave Humboldt way to many free bases which resulted in the lopsided loss. Jaguars look to get into the win column again as they face the Cougars from Manson to wrap up the week.

JV ACTION: L 1-16 ( 1-3-1)

The Jv squad struggled much like the varsity again it was free bases with too many

walks that doomed the chances of winning. The lone Jaguar run came from Bryson Axness

who had a big hit to lead off the second inning and eventually scoring on a passed ball. Gavin Weier continued his walk streak of walking in every JV game. Caden Kaltschnee finished out the hits with a nice bloop single in the third inning in his lone at bat of the game. Pitching was a carousel of pitchers with young pitchers of Tyler Jondle, Logan Jaeschke and Cale VanSickle getting time on the mound.
