6/14 @ East Sac 18-8 W (3-9)

A mid week conference match-up for the Jags against the East Sac Raiders saw the

Jags explode offensively and pick up a big conference victory. The Jags had a four run lead in the third inning but a six run third inning saw the Raiders take the lead. The new fight the Jags had was evident as they stormed back and scored six huge runs in the fifth inning and six more runs in the seventh to give them the comfortable lead they needed. The bats were doing their job with tons of solid line drives and a lot of them right at the Raider defenders. Leader of the game for the Jaguar offense was Carl Berglund who went 3 for 4, all singles but they were big ones with runners in scoring position. He ended the night with three RBI’s total. Brady Hanson also had some big hits as well matching Carl’s RBI total with 3 runs scored. Two of those runs were with a full count and two outs and Brady had a big hit which scored two runners and at the time was a huge momentum boost. Seniors Justin Loseke and Drew Corell continued their hot streak with Loseke going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and three walks. Drew matched Justin’s RBI total with two while he finished the game going 2 for 5 and a huge sac fly scoring a Jaguar runner. Tyler Jondle and Kaden Holder both contributed in the game with two hits a piece. Tyler went 2 for 3 with two walks while Kaden finished 2 for 5 with two singles. Courteousy runners were busy on the night for the Jags. Colin Johnson, Bryson Axness and pinch runner Casey Hanson all scored on the night and saw lots of action. On the mound Senior Justin Loseke picked up his first win of the season. Justin has really stepped up on the mound relying on his defense to help him and the defense has stepped up. Minus the six run inning which saw a few errors, Loseke gave up four hits, most of them blop hits that just landed outside the fielders reach. His most impressive stat however was only two walks throughout the game and only giving up three

earned runs. Sophomore Gauge Jones finished off the game going two innings giving up two hits and two walks throughout but not allowing the Raiders to score and securing the win for the Jags.

JV ACTION: 5-0 W (6-3-3)

The Jaguar JV team started things off right getting a win before the Varsity would get

theirs. Lenix Allbee scored Gauge Jones in the first with a big hit double. The Jags would

continue to chip away in the 2 nd with two runs followed by another two in the 3 rd . It was a well played JV game with good defense and pitching. Casey Hanson threw well followed by Lenix Allbee all on pitch counts. Then it was Caden Kaltschnee who came in secured the win with his defense making all the plays they needed to make. Ryan Stewart added a hit offensively and allowed a runner to cross the plate. Bryson Axness scored once while also Ethan Ackerson did on his big smash double that might have been out at Dayton. Elias Field would round out the hits on the day for the JV squad and Lincoln Akins would get a runner to score on his hit to the shortstop which scored Elias. Really good defense and pitching was the name of the game with this well played JV game.
