7/1 DISTRICTS vs. Clarion Goldfield-Dows 1-11 L (5-17)

The Jags ended their season with a ten run mercy rule in the sixth inning versus an

upcoming Clarion Goldfield team. The Jags would get a run in the first inning building some

momentum but the Cowboys would steal it in bottom getting four runs and stopping all

momentum the Jags had. Four more runs in the third inning and three in the sixth would end the game and the Jags season. Senior Drew Corell would knock in the only run which was Cale Vansickle who was running for the pitcher Justin Loseke. Drew would reach second on the hit and record the Jags only RBI. Brady Hanson, Justin Loseke, and Casey Hanson would all had a hit in the game for the Jags. Senior Justin Loseke took the mound for the Jags. He really didn’t throw to bad considering the score but the first and third innings were the downfall. Otherwise Justin did a good job on the mound with Hane Sorenson coming in to finish off the game for the Jags.

The Jags say goodbye to six seniors who gave us a lot of memories over the last four

years. Drew Corell, Justin Loseke, Carl Berglund, Gavin Weier, Elias Field and Ethan Ackerson who will move on to bigger and better things no doubt. With six seniors graduating there will be multiple positions to fill but with a hungry underclassmen group coming up the Jags hope to get back to their winning ways that the program is use to. Thanks to all the parents and fans who have supported the Jags this season. Also the administration and communities for their support of the Jaguar Baseball program, big things are on the way and more exciting baseball is to come as the baseball program will celebrate their tenth year as a Jaguar baseball program next season.
