6-25 @ Greene County 9-3 W (7-11)
A huge seven run inning was just what the Jaguars needed to take the lead and hold onto it for the seventh win of the season. Senior Hane Sorenson threw a gem on the mound going all seven innings giving up four hits while striking out three batters. Defense came to play as the Jaguars only had one error and making the plays look easy. It was the fifth inning where the bats came alive for the Jags. Starting off with a base hit from Mason Bahr, walk for Cale
Vansickle and a well placed bunt from Caden Kaltschnee loaded the bases. Casey Hanson
would hit a huge double and score two runners. Tyler Jondle would do the same, hitting a liner in the gap to score another two runners. Hane Sorenson keep things going with a double, Gauge Jones would walk and those were the final runners to cross the plate after an error by the Rams third baseman would score Jones. Brady Hanson would score Tyler Jondle in the fifth on a huge two out single. Cale Vansickle would score the lone run in the seventh inning as Casey Hanson reached on an error. Nice mid week win on a hot day with a lot of grit shown.
JV action: 1-3 (called game lighting)
A lightening shortened game day the Jags only play three innings before being called. Kolton Ollinger started the game and a walk and error then a dinky dink hit gave them two runs. A run in the second game the Rams an early lead. The Jags would score their only run on a sac fly from Nick Field who scored a Karson Roper. Lincoln Akins and Ayden Bintz would finish out the hits for the Jags with a single each. Caden Kaltschnee would pitch the third inning getting a ground ball. Giving up a double but then picking off the runner at second followed immediately by a strike out. No doubt the JV team would have eventually won the game but lighting called the game early.
