SVSB vs. PAC

The Jaguar softball team faced off against another conference opponent in Harcourt on June 16th. Southeast Valley battled the Indians from Pocahontas Area and unfortunately fell short of a win, dropping the contest by a score of 1-9.

The Indians offense was hot and with a talented pitcher in the circle the Jaguar bats could not respond. Despite the score, the Jags saw some sparks at the plate. Rian Schlief would hit a line drive single to right field in the second inning. The third inning would have the Jags on a short rally when Riley Carlson reached base resulting from a walk followed by Danielle Bethel with a walk of her own. Camryn Lane would single in the inning, but the Jags would be held scoreless until 8th grade short stop Kinslie Nolte stepped into the box during the fourth inning and blasted a no-doubter over the left field fence. Senior catcher Lauren Eslick would also single in the game to continue her hitting streak.

Senior Chloe Lambert would get the start on the mound, but junior Rian Schlief would come in during the third inning. Combined, Schlief and Lambert struck out six.
