JV SB 6/19-6/23

On Monday night, we traveled to Fonda to face the Newell-Fonda Mustangs. It was a tough battle all night. Riley Carlson came up big on offense hitting a double up the middle of the field. Laila Christopherson also had a single on the night. On defense, the Mustangs hit the ball hard and in the gaps. Jags lose, 7-0. 


On Wednesday, we played GTRA. Laila Johnson had a huge night on offense going 3 for 3 in her at bats, with 1 double and 2 singles. Her last single scored the winning run to push us on top of the Titans. We capitalized on their errors and scored 5. On defense everyone looked sharp and we had only one error on the night. Jags win, 5-4. 


On Thursday, we played Iowa Falls-Alden in Harcourt. On defense, we stayed sharp, allowing no runs until the 4th inning. Lily Reck had a great night on defense, having no errors. We had a tough night on offense, only scoring 2 runs on the Cadets’ errors. Jags lose, 2-4. 


On Friday, we hosted South Central Calhoun. Our defense looked sharp, only having 1 error in 5 innings. Taylor Kauffman led the way on defense- having 9 strikeouts with 11 batters. On offense, Camryn Lane got us started in the first inning, hitting a triple. Riley Carlson went 3 for 3 in her at bats with 3 singles. Taylor Willardson also went 3 for 3 on the night. Jags won, 12-0.
