JV Softball the Week of June 6th

The JV Jaguar softball team started the week off on Wednesday against a tough Emmetsburg team. Rian Schlief got our bats going with 2 outs in the first inning with a double up the middle. Lailah Christopherson got our bats started again in the 5th inning and scored on a Camyrn Lane sacrifice bunt. Our outfielders lead the way on defense, with 5 unassisted put-outs. Jags fall to the E-Hawks 4-9. 


On Thursday, the Jags faced off against Eagle Grove in Harcourt. In the first inning, the Eagles scored 2 runs, but the Jaguars answered back in the bottom of the first by capitalizing on errors by the Eagles. Rian Schlief had the only base hit for the Jaguars. On defense, Lily Reck led the way with 3 cleanly fielded outs at first. The Eagles scored another run in the 4th to push them on top. Jaguars lose 2-3. 


The JV Jaguar softball team ended the week at home against Alta-Aurelia. The Warriors scored 2 in the first inning, but the Jaguars answered right back with two runs- scoring on the Warrior's errors. Camryn Lane led the way, going 2/2 at the plate. Jaguars and Warriors tied, 5-5.
