SVSB Results-3 Game Stretch
SVSB vs. East Sac
The Jaguar softball team traveled to Wall Lake on June 18th for a conference match up against the Raiders of East Sac County. Southeast Valley got the win by a score of 12-2 in six innings of play.
Several Jaguar batters were successful at the plate throughout the contest. Karley Rae Smith was .400 on the night with two singles as well as reaching due to an error on the Raider defense, leading to two stolen bases and two runs.
Camryn Lane was three for five at the plate with a double and a pair of singles as well as an RBI and one run.
Chloe Lambert reached base safely in all four of her at bats. Lambert reached on an error in the first inning and earned a stolen base. Lambert hit a double and two singles earning two RBIs and scoring once in her other three appearances at the plate.
Rian Schlief brought in four runs for the Jags hitting a double and single to bring in two runs with each hit. Schlief would also score once her self.
Riley Carlson would be .750 on the night with three singles and an RBI. Carlson would also account for three of the Jaguars runs in the game.
Danielle Bethel would hit three hard singles in the game earning two RBIs and a run herself.
Chloe Lambert was the winning pitcher in the circle for the Jaguars facing 27 batters and striking out eight and giving up just five hits in the contest.
SVSB vs. St. Mary’s
The Jaguars faced adversity in their conference matchup with the Panthers from Storm Lake St. Mary’s and, unfortunately, lost the game by a score of 1-4.
Karley Rae Smith would be the sole run scored for the Jaguars in the first inning after reaching first base with a lead off walk. Lauren Eslick and Rian Schlief would be the only other Jags to record hits in the contest with a pair of singles, each.
SVSB vs. Newell Fonda
The Jaguars dropped another conference game to the Mustangs from Newell Fonda on June 23rd in Fonda. The final score: 3-9 in favor of the Mustangs.
Chloe Lambert lead the Jaguars at the plate recording two singles in the game as well as scoring once (Sage Lane courtesy runner). Karley Rae Smith, Cameryn Lane, Riley Carlson, and Kinslie Nolte would also single in the contest. Smith, Lane, Nolte would also each record an RBI. The only extra base hit on the night flew off the bat of Lauren Eslick, a double in the left-center gap inches from clearing the fence.
