SV SB vs. Emmetsburg

June 29 @ Emmetsburg

Southeast Valley softball traveled to Emmetsburg on Thursday night for their fourth game in four days. The Jags ended conference play with a loss to the E-hawks, putting them in third place in the conference standings with a record of 7-3 in the conference.

The Jags would score first in their half of the first inning. Ellie Nolte and Lauren Eslick would each score, putting the Jags up 2-0. Unfortunately, the Jags were unable to do more damage on offense.

Emmetsburg’s offense would manage to win every inning after the first bringing their run total to 9. Despite being down, the Jags didn’t give up. They strung together hits from Ellie Nolte, Kenna Scott, and Jordyn Rowley to keep the fight alive. Lauren Eslick also walked in the seventh. Nolte would score on a fielder’s choice hit by Vansickle and Eslick would score on a long single hit off the bat by Jordyn Rowley. Despite the fight, the Jags ran out of chances to regain the lead.

The Jags have to bounce back as they travel to Saydel Friday night for a non-conference matchup with the Eagles.
