SVSB @ Bob Morgan Classic

Southeast Valley faced off against the Boone Toreadors on Saturday at the Bob Morgan Classic hosted by Ogden. The Jags fell by a score of 2-15 to a powerful Boone offense.

Despite the loss, the Jags saw a lot of positives at the plate, but couldn’t get the ball to fall where they needed it to. Karley Rae Smith, Chloe Lambert, Lauren Eslick, Kinslie Nolte, and Riley Carlson each recorded a hit in the contest. Lambert doubled while Smith, Eslick, Nolte, and Carlson each reached on a single of their own.

The Jags were able to bounce back in their second game of the day when they took on the Carroll Tigers. Southeast Valley scored four runs in their half of the first inning and five in the fourth to secure their second run-rule victory of the week.

The girls would tally seven hits in the contest, coming from several different spots in the lineup. Karely Rae Smith, Chloe Lambert, Lauren Eslick, Brooke Peterson, and Kinslie Nolte would each record a single in the game. Lambert and Smith each recorded a double in the game as well. Junior Camryn Lane would also reach base for the Jaguars by way of base on balls twice while also scoring two runs. Lambert, Smith, and Eslick would also score twice and Rian Schlief would score once after reaching base after an error by the Carroll defense.

At the conclusion of the week, the Southeast Valley softball team holds a record of four wins and one loss.
