The Jags traveled to Wall Lake on Wednesday night to take on the East Sac Raiders in a conference matchup. The Jags were firing on all cylinders on both ends of the ball to take the game by a score of 11-0, ending the game by mercy rule after five innings.

Offensively, the Jaguar bats started hot and stayed hot throughout the night. The Jags scored first and continued scoring in each of the five innings played. The Jags saw action from the entire line up with all nine batters reaching base at least once.

Several Jags went 2-3 including Alex Kitchen, Rian Schlief, Maddie Vansickle, Ellie Nolte, and Jordyn Rowley. Kenna Scott was 3-3 at the plate.

Senior Maddie Vansickle had a remarkable game overall. She drove in four runs from the plate with two doubles and she put on a clinic in the circle. Maddie allowed just one hit, walked one, and allowed no runs to score. The defense behind her played lights out to give the Jags the shutout over the Raiders.

The Jags continue conference play in Harcourt on Friday night against Storm Lake Saint Mary’s.
