Southeast Valley traveled to Saydel to take on the #7 ranked team in class 3A Friday night. The Jags lost to the Eagles by a score of 0-5 after seven innings.

The Saydel pitcher proved to be a tough challenge for the Jaguar offense, but the Jags found ways to put pressure on the Eagle defense. Small ball would prove to be a tough handle for the Eagles in the fourth inning. Kenna Scott, Lauren Eslick, and Jordyn Rowley would each reach base safely after bunting down the first base side. Rowley also had a double in the game.

Unfortunately, the Jags could not produce a run and left six base runners on in total and now hold an overall record of 14-9.

Senior pitcher Maddie VanSickle threw 6 ⅔ innings and was able to keep the Eagle offense off balance most of the game forcing a strong offense to hit into the defense behind her.

The Jags look to bounce back for their final regular season matchup on Monday against the Webster City Lynx.
