JV Stats/Articles - Week 2

Tuesday June 3: vs St. Ed's (Away)

JV did not play due to weather.

Wednesday June 4: vs Sioux Central (Home)

The JV played against the Sioux Central Rebels at Harcourt. On offense, Goldie Davis got on base by being walked, Jocelyn Wheeling got on base being hit by a pitch and scored, Jacey Carlson also got on base with a hit to 3rd base and scored, and Addy Lundquist got on base with a fly ball out to center field. While on defense, Kinslie Nolte had 1 unassisted out at shortstop, 2 outs throwing to 1st base, and got an out throwing to home plate, Addy Lundquist threw an out to 1st base from the mound, Sage Lane had an unassisted out at 1st base, Meia Hefley had an amazing catch for out in left field, Goldie Davis had an out in center field, and Taylor Goeders had a tag on a drop 3rd strike and got an out at 2nd base on a stolen base. Unfortunately, the girls lost 6-2.

Thursday June 5: vs Algona (Home)

The JV played another home game against the Algona Bulldogs. While on offense, Sage Lane had a hard hit to right field and got a double, Kinslie Nolte had a solid hit to the outfield and got a double, as well as getting an RBI (Sage), Meia Hefley had a single with a hit to left field, and Peyton Lockner got on base with a hard hit to the pitcher. While on defense, Sage Lane had 2 unassisted outs at 1st base, Peyton Lockner had 2 outs throwing from 3rd to 1st, Karly Rae Smith had 2 strikeouts and an out throwing to 1st while on the mound, Addy Lundquist also had a strikeout and an out throwing to 1st while on the mound, Kinslie Nolte also had an out throwing from shortstop to 1st base, and Taylor Goeders had an out on a drop 3rd strike by throwing to 1st base. The Jags played hard but lost to Algona 11-1.

Friday June 6: vs Manson (Away)

The Jags traveled to Manson to play against the Cougars on Friday night. While on offense, Goldie Davis made it to base being walked and scored in the 1st inning, she also had an RBI (Jaylon) in the 5th inning; Peyton Lockner made it on base twice with solid hits in the 1st and 4th innings and scored both times; Devon Olson made it on base twice - once being walked (1st inning) and once with a solid hit (4th inning), she scored in the 1st inning; Jacey Carlson had a hard hit that scored two RBIs (Goldie and Peyton) and got her on 2nd base in the 1st inning, Taylor Goeders had a hard hit and got on base in the 5th inning, Chloe Richardson got on base by being walked and scored a run in the 5th inning; Jaylon Zika had an amazing hit that got her on 2nd base in the 5th inning; and Jocelyn Wheeling had a hit that got her on 1st base and an RBI (Chloe). Sage Lane also had an amazing hit that went over the fence to get her first official home run of the season which scored an RBI (Jocelyn), as well as herself! While on defense, Karly Rae Smith had 2 strikeouts and 2 outs thrown from the mound to 2nd base, Chloe Richardson had an unassisted out in right field with a pop fly, Taylor Goeders had an out throwing from behind the plate to 2nd base on a steal, Devon Olson had an out throwing from shortstop to 1st base, Addy Lundquist had 3 strikeouts and an unassisted out while on the mound, Jacey Carlson had an unassisted out at 2nd base, and Goldie Davis had an unassisted out while in center field. The Jags played hard and came back to tie the game 8-8 with the Cougars.
