JV Softball Week Of May 30

On Tuesday, the JV softball team faced a strong St. Edmond's team. Rian Schlief worked hard on the mound, striking out 9. Rian also led the team with a double up the middle in the second inning. Paige Holmes batted in Schlief with a base hit. Jaguars lost the contest 2-16. 


On Wednesday, the Jaguars traveled to Peterson. Camryn Lane led the team at the plate, going 2 for 3. Lauren Johnson led the team on defense with 2 put-outs. The JV Jags lost the contest 1-7.


Thursday the Jaguars traveled to Algona. The girls were ready to roll and scored 2 runs in the first inning. Our bats got hot again in the fourth inning starting with a single up the middle by Lauren Johnson. Jags scored 5 in the 4th inning to take the lead by 1. Hot bats came back in the 5th to extend the lead by 2 more. Our defense looked sharp in the 5th inning with Brooke Peterson making a great catch in left field to seal the W! Jags won, 9-6. 


On Friday, the Jaguars hosted Manson Northwest Webster. The Jaguars started off the night with solid defense. Camryn Lane led on the defensive side by having 3 put-outs on the night. Although, the Jaguars capitalized on the Cougars errors, it was not enough. Cougars topped the Jaguars 7-6.
