Rebels over Varsity and JV Volleyball Squads Thursday Night

Gowrie, IA – The Sioux Central Rebels defeated the Junior varsity volleyball squad

by the scores of 19-21 and 18-21. Setting up the offense was an the issue with

the junior varsity. The squad only had two kills the entire match. The team did

serve at 96% efficiency. Maddie VanSickle had 17 assists while Kenna Scott had

six. Serve receive and passing the ball to set up the offense during play is

something the team will have to work on a daily basis.

With the varsity match the team lost in five by the scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-19,

16-25, and 5-15. Addi Hindt led the team with twelve kills and one solo block.

Hindt’s hitting efficiency was over .500 for the night. She only had two hitting

errors. Breck Mills and Alex Kitchen each had seven kills. Those girls with ten or

more digs in the match were Ellie Nolte 16 digs, Lauren Johnson tallied up

fourteen and Madison Lane had ten. Hindt, Nolte, and Kitchen each had a solo block while Mills had two assist blocks and Kitchen had one. The girls finish week three 2-7 overall.
