Ida Grove, IA ~ The Falcons of OABCIG (Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove) defeated the Jaguars in three straight sets 17-25, 14-25, and 14-25 in the quarterfinal round in Region 6.

The team struggled to get its offense going throughout the evening. They also served at 88% which put additional pressure in keeping the momentum going throughout the night. Defensively they had no blocks and averaged 7 saves (digs) per set.  

Offensively, Madelyn Farley had 12 kills to lead the Jags. She was followed by Rian Schlief with three, Lizzie Thompson, Mila Johnson, and Riley Carlson who each had two. Camryn Lane and Liberty Suchan each chipped in one each.

Annabelle MacRunnel had five saves for the night followed by Madelyn Farley with four. Madelyn Farley was also perfect behind the serving line and had one ace serve. Anna Corell and Camryn Lane also went 100% with their serves. Lizzie Thompson had two ace serves and Corell had one ace.  

The team finishes the season at 10-15 overall and 5-6 in conference play. Seniors who played their last match of the year were Anna Corell, Mila Johnson, and Annabelle MacRunnel.

OABCIG advances to take on #6 Sioux Center at Sioux Center on October 24th in the semifinal round.
