Jags Volleyball Go 4-1 at Martensdale-St. Mary’s

Martensdale, IA~The Jaguar varsity volleyball team went 4-1 on Saturday, October 7th at the MSM Invitational. They opened the day by defeating Southeast Warren by the scores of 21-16 and 21-9. In the second match of the day they lost to Van Meter by the scores of 11-21, 21-17, 9-15. In the third match they defeated the host team of Martensdale-St. Mary by the scores of 21-7 and 21-9. After a break for lunch they defeated Clarke of Osceola by the scores of 21-17 and 21-13. They ended the day with a win over Earlham 21-13 and 21-3.  


For the day the team went 94% with their serving and averaged 2.36 ace serves a game. Kenna Scott was perfect behind the serving line all day. They also had 107 saves which averaged out to 9.7 per game. The team had a total of 82 kills which averaged to 7.45 a game and 20 blocks which was 1.81 per game.  


The team improves to 17-11 overall. They will end the regular season on Thursday, October 12th when they face GTRA (Graettinger) in a conference match-up. It is also Senior Night.
