Jaguars Fair Well at Ogden

Ogden, IA ~ The Jaguar volleyball squad traveled to Ogden and competed against the Bulldogs on Thursday, October 3rd.


JVR and JV started the night at 5:00 PM. The JVR lost by the scores of 18-21 and 16-21. Dani Bethel had 3 kills for the night followed by Reagan Pearson and Leah Mills with 2 each. Other members of the JVR squad who helped offensively and defensively are Sage Lane,Shayden Hefley, Peyton Lockner, Jacey Carlson, Emily Wilson, Addison Lundquist, Ruby Stimpson, and Leslie Hemmestad.


The junior varsity defeated the Bulldogs by the scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-17. The team served very well going over 92% efficiency. Perfect behind the serving line was Mylee Swanson, Trinity Anderson and Addi Larson. Kalli Thompson had five ace serves while Kayla Field had four.


Mae Searcy and Kalli Thompson each had three kills. Kayla Field, Liberty Suchan, and Trinity Anderson each had two.


Varsity Wins in Three


The Jaguars started off a little slow, but picked things up in defeating the Bulldogs by the scores of 25-16, 25-14, and 25-11.


The girls only served at 89% but ended up with 17 ace serves which averaged to 5.6 ace serves per game, a season high. Perfect behind the serving line was Camryn Lane and Anna Corell. Lane and Corell both ended up with three ace serves. Rian Schlief had four aces, Annabelle MacRunnel had three and Lizzie Thompson, Madelyn Farley both had two.


The team were efficient with their offense going at .247 efficiency. Leading the team with kills was Farley who had 14. Mila Johnson had five, Riley Carlson and Liberty Suchan each had four kills.  


Defensively, the girls had 38 digs which averaged to 12.6 per game another season high. Anna Corell led the team with nine saves. Camryn Lane, Rian Schlief, and Madelyn Farley each had six. Kayla Field had five, while Suchan, MacRunnel and Carlson all contributed.


The team has only two weeks of the regular season remaining. Senior Night is Thursday, October 10th.
