Jags Over the Rebels

Sioux Rapids, IA ~ The Jaguar volleyball squad traveled to Sioux Rapids on Thursday, September 7th to take on the Rebel of Sioux Central in a Twin Lakes Conference matchup.


The varsity won in three sets by the scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-11. Kenna Scott led the team with 14 assists while Ellie Nolte followed her with 12. Rian Schleif, back row libero, had four assists. The team struggled with serving in the first set with missing four serves and having an efficiency factor below 90%. Mila Johnson had two ace serves and Addi Hindt and Nolte had one each.  


Schlief led the team with 11 digs(saves) followed by Addi Hindt having eight and Kenna Scott having five. Other players with saves were Nolte with three, Erica Burger and Anna Corell with three each, and Alex Kitchen had one.


Addi Hindt led the team with ten kills and an efficiency factor of .29, while Alex Kitchen followed with seven kills and was .13 efficient. Breck Mills had seven kills at .10 efficiency rating. Mila Johnson had four kills and Rian Schlief had one and both were 100% efficient. Nolte had three kills and was .18 efficient with her attacks. 


This was their first conference win and the team sits at 4-5 overall.  


JV Wins

The junior varsity squad won by the scores of 25-18 and 25-23. The team served above 94% with Mila Johnson, Liz Thompson, Riley Carlson, Anna Corell, Annabelle MacRunnel and Maddie Farley all perfect behind the serving line. Carlson and Thompson each had two ace serves while Johnson, Camryn Lane, Corell, and Farley each had one ace serve.

Riley Carlson with five kills while Mila Johnson followed with four. Farley had two and the rest of the team each had one kill a piece. Anna Corell led the team with seven saves.
