Jaguars End Regular Season with Victory Over Titans

Graettinger, IA ~ The Jaguars traveled up north to play their last match of the regular season to face the GTRA Titans in conference play. The ladies won in three sets by the scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-11.


The team served at 97.3% efficiency and average 3.33 ace serves per game. Ellie Nolte, Madison Lane, and Kenna Scott were all perfect behind the serving line. Nolte and Rian Schlief had three ace serves each. Kenna Scott and Madison Lane each had two apiece.

The team had a decent balanced offense with Addi Hindt having 11 kills and Breck Mills having ten. Alex Kitchen ended up with five while Madison Lane had three. Kenna Scott led the team with 13 saves with Lauren Johnson and Rian Schlief with eight each.

The team ends the year with a 2-9 conference record and 11-18 overall. Newell-Fonda ended up being the Twin Conference champion team going 11-0 and 26-4 overall.


JV Defeats Titans


The junior varsity team defeated the Titans by the scores of 21-13 and 21-11. The team served at 88% efficiency with ten ace serves. That averaged out to five ace serves per game. Rian Schlief led the team with eight ace serves. Going perfect behind the serving line for the night were Erica Burger, Baileigh Elmore, and Lauren Johnson. The team used a 5-1 offense with Rian Schlief as the setter. She had 11 assists for the evening. Leading the team with kills was Abby Halligan having eight. Erica Burger, Mila Johnson, Baileigh Elmore and Lauren Songer each had two kills apiece. Anna Corell and Annabelle MacRunnel led the team with nine saves each. The team ends the season with a 14-9 record overall.


Earlier in the week, the JV traveled up to Graettinger and participated in a triangular. They defeated GTRA by the scores of 21-13 and 21-14. The also beat Emmetsburg 21-18 and 21-12. They lost to PAC (Pocahontas) by the scores of 15-21, 21-5, 9-15.
