Week 7 For JVR Volleyball

The JVR volleyball team kicked off our week with our home tournament on Saturday, October 1st! We had two teams compete against five other schools.

Southeast Valley Black had never played altogether before, so they had to focus on communicating well. The girls did a great job overall and had fun throughout the day. Overall, we were 0-4 with matches, but we battled to win one set against Manson Orange, Fort Dodge, and St. Edmond. Throughout the entire tournament, SEV Black had 86% serving efficiency.

Southeast Valley Teal went 4-1 in matches throughout the day. They beat Manson Navy, St. Edmond, and Eagle Grove during pool play to take first in their pool. During bracket play, the girls beat SCC in two sets, 21-7 and 21-16. In the championship, the team faced Manson Navy again and lost in three sets with scores of 21-13, 19-21, and 16-18. SEV Teal was 87% from behind the serving line throughout the whole day.

Our JVR team played at home again on Thursday against West Bend. We won in two sets with scores of 21-16 and 21-12. Our serves were 92% efficient during this match.
