The Junior Varsity Reserve (JVR) volleyball teams hosted a tournament on Saturday, September 30th. Girls on Team Black included Mae Searcy, Kalli Thompson, Addie Larson, Dani Bethel, Avrie Hanson, Ruby Stimpson, Trinity Anderson, Ileigh Taylor, and Meia Hefley. Pool play consisted of two sets regardless, during which the team lost to Kuemper Catholic, beat SCC, and split with Manson. In bracket play, Team Black faced Eagle Grove and lost in three sets with scores of 21-18, 20-22, and 6-15. 

Girls on Team Teal for this tournament included Liberty Suchan, Kayla Field, Mylee Swanson, Taylor Willardson, Camryn Lane, Jondyl Warland, Rylie Carlson, and Lizzie Thompson. In pool play, these girls won every set against Fort Dodge, St. Edmond’s, and Eagle Grove. In semi-finals, Team Teal beat Manson in two sets with scores of 21-16 and 21-8 and lost to Kuemper Catholic in the championship match: 15-21 and 11-21.

On Thursday the 5th, the volleyball team traveled to West Bend Mallard, and the JVR won in 3 sets with scores of 23-25, 25-16, and 15-4. Serving was 90% efficient with Field, Thompson, and Anderson going 100% from behind the serve line. Field also led the team with three kills. Next week is the last week of competition for the JVR girls.
