Jags Take on Alta-Aurelia

Alta, IA ~ The Jaguar volleyball squad traveled to Alta to take on the Warriors of Alta-Aurelia.  

The varsity defeated the Warriors by the scores of 25-21, 26-28, 25-16 and 25-22.  Leading the way for the team with kills was Madelyn Farley who had 12.  She was followed by Rian Schlief who had seven, Lizzie Thompson had six, Riley Carlson had five, Kinslie Nolte tallied up four and Liberty Suchan had two kills.  Camryn Lane had 16 assists while Liberty Suchan had 15.  


Defensively, Riley Carlson had two solo blocks and Nolte and Farley each had one.  Rian Schlief led the way with 18 digs while Kayla Field had 13.  Madelyn Farley had 12 digs and Riley Carlson had four.  The team averaged 12.8 digs per game. 


The team served at 90% efficiency but had 19 ace serves which averaged out to 4.8 ace serves per game.  Schlief had eight ace serves while Kinslie Nolte had four.  Serving at 100% was Lizzie Thompson.


The team is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference.


The Jaguars travel to Iowa Central on Saturday, August 30th to compete in the St. Edmond Invitational.
