Bulldogs Defeat Jags in Five

Gowrie, IA ~ The Ogden Bulldogs defeated the Jaguars Thursday night in five games by the scores of 21-25, 25-6, 22-25, 25-21, and 13-15.

Sophomore Ellie Nolte led the team with serving going 100% with 28 serves and four aces. Also perfect behind the serving line was Paytin Dorsey and Lauren Johnson. Paytin Dorsey also had one ace serve. The girls struggled with serve receive only going 53% for night. The team needs to be above 70% to assist the setter in getting the offense going. Ellie Nolte had 27 assist which averages to 5.4 assist per game. Leading the team with kill efficiency were sophomores Addi Hindt and Ava Brunner both above .22%. Hindt had 10 kills with four errors out of 27 attempts. Brunner had two kills with one error out of three attempts. Breck Mills had 10 kills with seven errors out of 36 attempts. Alex Kitchen had seven kills with eight errors out of 28 attempts. Paige Weiland had two kills with three errors out of twelve attempts. Mills had five solo blocks for the night. The team averaged three digs per game. The girls fall to 6-17 overall. They have West Bend-Mallard and GTRA left on their schedule for the regular season.
