JH BB @ East Sac County
The JH Baseball teams travelled to Wall Lake on Monday, June 30th.
In the first ball game of the day, the 7th grade team won by the score of 13-4. Reece Carlson and Tristan Hanson pitched on the mound, each throwing two full innings. Offensively, the Jaguars totalled 10 base hits, led by Grant Ott and Boe Davis each recording a double in the first inning. Others recording a hit were Bennett Nolte (2 singles and 2 RBI), Wyatt Muench, Jaxon Van Cannon, Carlson, Jax Hindt, and Andrew Wanat.
In the 8th grade game, the Jaguars jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before East Sac County scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. After trailing 3-6 going into the top of the last inning, the Jaguars never gave up and put together a nice little run. Carter Lloyd and August Akins started the inning with back-to-back hits. After two quick outs, Bennett Nolte came up clutch earning an RBI and reached base after a nice hard hit ball to leftfield. Boe Davis also added a hit. Going into the bottom of the final inning, with the score tied 6-6, the Jaguars had to face the heart of East Sac's batting order. Wyatt Muench continued his valiant effort in relief, striking out three straight with a runner in scoring position on 2nd base.
Ethan Martin pitched one full inning, before Muench was called upon and pitched four complete innings, striking out 9 total batters.
