The Junior High baseball teams welcomed the South Central Calhoun Titans to Dayton on Friday, June 21st.

The 7th Grade ball team won the first game of the day with a 12-2 score, scoring five runs in both the 2nd and 3rd innings. A total of seven different Jaguar batters earned RBIs in the contest, led by Josiah Hefley with 3 RBI and a double. Tucker Ollinger, Jameson Bernau, Jackson Bintz, Kinnick Meyer, and Jonny Snider all earned an RBI. Scoring for the team were Ollinger, Ethan Martin, Bernau, Colton Bachel, August Akins, Blaine Peterson, Meyer, Snider, and Coldenn Mapel. Akins pitched three solid innings on the mound, and Meyer pitched the last inning striking out the final out.

The 8th Grade team won 10-1, with Landon Vote pitching a full game and Dawson Tuel behind the plate. Vote did an excellent job throwing strikes in the zone and the defense made plays in the field. Brennan Milham made two great plays in right field; catching a pop fly on the run and throwing out the runner on first before tagging up. The Jaguar defense only committed one error in the game.

Offensively, Carver Peterson, Jake Paterson, and Vote all scored two times throughout the game. Others scoring were Connor Rentz, Tuel, Colby Peterson, and Caden Milham. Caden Cramer drove in a team high 3 RBI, and the duo of Keelan Wellman and Rentz each drove in two RBI with the bat.
