JH Boys Take On Greene County

On Wednesday, June 22nd, the Jaguars hosted the Rams from Greene County for some baseball action, where the 7th graders won by the score 10-1 and the 8th graders fell by the score of 0-11.  


In the 7th grade contest, Kolton Ollinger pitched a full game, going four complete innings giving up only one hit and striking out seven Ram batters. With the bats, Casey Hanson, Rake Kilstrom, Karson Roper, Logan Jaeschke, Wyatt Goodpaster, and Spencer Peterson all combined to hit 9-9 from the batter's box. Hanson recorded both a triple and double, while Jaeschke added a triple and a single, and Goodpaster roped a hard hit ball for double. Jaguars scoring runs in the game were Hanson, Jacob Reck, Kilstrom, Jaeschke, Goodpaster, Clay Lambert, Peterson, and Even Bintz. RBI's came from Hanson (2), Reck, Kilstrom, Roper, Jaeschke (2), and Ollinger.  


In the 8th grade game, the 8th graders struggled at the plate, striking out seven times at bat and only mustered up one runner on base, with Bryce Hanson earning a base on balls in the bottom of the third inning. Nick Field made his debut on the mound, allowing only 5 hits and 2 earned runs to score in three innings of work.
