On Saturday, January 6th the wrestling Jags participated in the St. Ed's duals. The Jags notched their first dual meet win defeating Fort Dodge JV 36-21 in their second dual of the morning. The Jags were beaten by a very solid West Hancock team 75-6 to open the morning. After lunch, the Jags were nipped by the Gaels and lost to the Cougars of AGWSR, 60-24. 

120 lbs. Taelynn Slawson entered the line uu and got his first taste competition this season going 4-0. Evan Kuhn, Colin Johnson, Jayden Johnson, and Grant Smith finished the day 2-2. Kyeo Augustine, Kaden Holder, Oliver Riehl, Brodey Laughman, and Evan Frana picked up a win for the day. 

The Jags still struggled in the bottom position having a hard time escaping or reversing their opponents getting turned to their backs. The inexperienced squad continues to battle trying to improve every day in the room. 

Ogden JV Tournament

Five JV wrestlers competed in the Ogden JV Tournament Friday night. Nevein Larson and Evan Frana went 3-0 bringing home the Gold for the Jags. Evan Kuhn, Allan Summers, and Owen Pudenz took third place going 1-2 for the tournament.
