Jag Wrestlers Sweep at Audubon

The Southeast Valley wrestling Jags returned to the mat after their winter break heading South to Audubon in unfamiliar territory as this was the first time the Jags wrestled in Audubon's home turf. In another first, the Jags opened with the Cardinals of Earlham winning the dual 44-19. In the second match up of the night defeating the Wheelers of Audubon 57-24 and in the final dual of the night, the Jags defeated the Bulldogs of Ogden 48-28.

"It seemed we were a bit sluggish in our first dual against Earlham. We weren't quite as sharp as we wanted to be but by the end of the night our coaching staff thought we wrestled much better against Ogden. Ogden matched up with us really well but big wins by Kaden Holder and newcomer in the lineup freshman Caleb Will helped seal the win for the Jags."

Kaden Holder, Caleb Will, Max Miller, Harley Bryson, Rylie Ferrari, and Mark Hughes finished 3-0 for the night. Malaki Klatt, Caelan Oakes, Carson Suchan, and Zack Miller went 2-1 and Spencer Suchan finished 1-2. Gavyn McGuire stepped in at 152 to wrestle for Ty Klatt. In JV action, Caden Kaltshnee and Grant Smith competed for the Jags and Reed Andrews scored a fall.
