Boys Golf

SV Boys Golf @ Manson

The Southeast Valley Boys’ Golf team kept the ball rolling, winning their 3rd straight match in a week’s worth of golf action. The Jaguars and Cougars successfully outpaced the potential chance of rain, concluding the meet before too much of the rain forecasted arrived.

The Jaguars won the match 162-195, shooting their best team score on the season. Will Comp also shot a season low 35, one under par to capture gold medalist honors. Comp managed the course impressively throughout the meet, giving himself plenty of birdie opportunities. MNW’s Drew Tincher earned runner-up honors with a solid 40 scorecard.

Brady Hanson (42), Hayden Butrick (42), and Karson Roper (43) rounded out SV’s team score. Freshmen Dawson Tuel came in with a steady 44, and Sophomore Linkin Roper with a respectable 46.

The SV JV squad also shot a 195, led by Hayden Greene’s impressive 41. Also playing at the JV level were: Drew Temple (48), Owen Pudenz (51), Benson Konecne (55), Declan McGuire (55), Colton Haug (57), and Nick Field (68).

The Jaguars will host three meets in Dayton next week.  A conference dual with East Sac on Monday (4/28), a conference quad on Thursday (Alta-Aurelia, St. Mary’s, SCC), and our annual 5-team Varsity Invite on Friday (MNW, Greene County, Glidden-Ralston, and Ogden).
