@ Oakridge Recreation & Golf Course (Goldfield, IA)

              On Monday, April 21^st, the SV Boys Golf team played in a JV/V duel versus Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. It was a beautiful evening of golf, with temperatures hovering around 65 degrees and calm, 5mph wind. The Varsity outdueled the Cowboys of CGD by the score of 167-186.

              The Senior duo of Brady Hanson and Will Comp set the tone once again for the Jaguars, scoring 38 and 39, respectively. In back-to-back competitions, Hanson birdied his last and final hole to secure meet medalist recognition. From approximately 100 yards out after his drive on hole 9, Hanson threw a dart at the pin and settled in on about a one-footer for a birdie. Comp’s 39 rewarded him with the runner-up finish. Comp finished a pretty smooth round with 6 pars and 3 bogeys. 

              Freshman Dawson Tuel managed his way around the course well, battling a few hiccups in the rough and along the trees, coming in with a 42 on his card. Sophomores Hayden Butrick and Karson Roper scored 48 and 49. Junior Drew Temple rounded the Varsity line-up with a 53 on the night. 

              The JV unit for the Jaguars shot 191, but CGD did not fill out a full team. JV scores came in as follows: Linkin Roper shot 45, Owen Pudenz 47, Hayden Greene 48, Benson Konecne 51, Declan McGuire 53, and Nick Field 64.
