Jaguar Boys Golf Results April 27 & 28
@Lake City vs. Alta Aurelia, Storm Lake St. Mary’s 4-27-2023: The
Jaguars finished 2nd shooting a team total 182. AA shot 170 and STSM
193. The Jags were led by Will Comp at 44. Hane Sorenson and Elias
Field carded 45. Caden Konecne and Cale Vansickle shot 48. Kaden
Holder posted 56. The JV finished 2nd in a close match, firing a season
best 209. AA shot 206. SLSM did not field a JV team. Johnny Gregory
led the JV at 46. Spencer Suchan and Kyle Johnson carded 54. Tyler
Jondle and Maverick Dorman shot 55. Coach Blunk commented “we
are still looking for more consistent scores. We played OK, but you
make a mistake here and there and it all adds up. They all count as
one shot. We just need to minimize the misses. We are close, but not
quite there yet. Scores are better but we can still lower them. Our
varsity guys have not had that night where they all show their best. It
will happen soon. This whole team, from A-Z, is really fun to be
around. It’s a special group of great kids with great attitudes. But let’s
just play a bit better!!” The Jaguars host the 5 Team Invitational at
Dayton on Friday, April 28 and travel to Storm Lake, Lake Creek
Country Club on Monday, May 1 for the 18-hole TLC tournament.
SEV 5 Team Invite Results
@Dayton vs. Manson Northwest Webster, Greene County, Glidden
Ralston and Ogden 4-28-2023: The Jaguars hosted the Invitational at
Dayton. Manson placed 1st at 174, Greene County 2nd with 177, Ogden
3rd at 188, Southeast Valley 4th with 193 and Glidden Ralston 5 th at 227.
Will Comp led the Jags tying for 5th overall at 44. Hane Sorenson shot
48, Elias Field 50, Cale VanSickle 51, Caden Konecne 56 and Kaden
Holder 59. Coach Blunk commented “we struggled tonight. Our scores
were higher than we expected. We need to stay positive and keep at
it. We had several good shots and then some misses. I know the guys
are frustrated with their scores.” The Jaguars travel to Lake Creek,
Storm Lake Monday for the TLC tournament.
