Jags Split before Break

Monday, December 19th

Varsity

Storm Lake, Iowa - Southeast Valley (2-4) traveled to

Storm Lake St. Mary’s (1-4) for a conference make-up game from Friday, December 16th. Despite outscoring the Panthers 18-8 and making 3-3 pointers in the 4th quarter, the Jaguars fell short 45-49.  


The team shot 32% from the field and 71% from the freethrow line, while coming up with 12 steals and accumulating 11 assists for the night.  


Kenna Scott led the team with 20 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals. Alex Kitchen had 10 points 9 rebounds. Breck Mills gathered 6 points and 6 rebounds. While Madison Lane had 5, Halle Steck 2, and Julia Eastman 2.

Tuesday, December 20th

Varsity

Gowrie, Iowa - Southeast Valley (3-4) beat East Sac (0-7). The Jaguars started off hot, outscoring the Raiders 27-7 in the first quarter.  


The team had a great night overall shooting 68% from the field, 37% from the 3 point arc, and had 34 rebounds, 18 assists, and only 12 turnovers for the night.  


The Jaguars had 4 girls in double digits. Breck Mills had 18 points 4 assists, Alex Kitchen 17 points 13 rebounds, Kenna Scott 15 points 8 assists, and Halle Steck 10 points. Ryleigh McFarland had 3 points, Madison Lane 2 points, Jordyn Rowley 2 points, Julia Eastman 2 points, and Camryn Lane 1 point.

The Jaguars play Tuesday, January 3rd at home against South Hamilton for a JV/V double header. Tip off for the JV game is 4:30 followed by varsity contest 6 p.m. and Friday, January 6th the Jags host Alta Aurelia for a JV/V contest JV tip off is set for 4:30 p.m. and Varsity at 6 p.m.
