Jags Regroup to Beat the Tigers

Gowrie, Iowa - Southeast Valley (1-1) hosted Madrid (0-3) for a varsity game on Tuesday, November 30th. Madrid was looking for their first win of the season but Southeast Valley fought to get the inaugural win in the new gym.

 

Madrid gave Southeast complicated by hitting 8 three pointers for the game and 4 were made during the first quarter of play. The Jaguars took away the paint, not allowing the Tigers any points in the paint.  

 

The Jaguars came out in the third quarter and outscored the tigers 11-3 and continued to maintain an 8 point lead throughout the game finishing with the final score 32-24.

 

Double digit scorers for the Jaguars was Madison Lane with 10.

The Southeast Valley JV came from behind to top Madrid in 2 quarters of play 18-16 on Tuesday, December 3rd. Halle Steck made the game winning shot late. Scorers were Alex Kitchen had 8, Halle Steck 4, Jordyn Rowley 4, Alexis Peterson 2.
