SV Girls' Track & Field Finishes Season

The girls finished their track season and even though we did not have anyone qualify for the State Track meet the girls did some great things to finish the season and to build on for the future.

Leah Mills had her personal best throw of the season in the shotput with 30-04 and in the Disc with 89-02. Great way to finish her 9th grade season with personal best and both are in the top 10 at SV all time.

The Shuttle Hurdle ran their best time of the year with a time of 1:16.25 with Mae Sercy, Emily Wilson, Sage Lane and Madelyn Farely. This is also a top 10 all time at SV

Camryn Lane Placed 5th in the open 400 with a time of 1:03.39 and placed 4th in the open 200 with a time of 27.94

Sage Lane had her best 400 Hurdle time of the season with a time of 1:13.71 and placed 5th. This is also a new top 10 time at SV

The relays did not place high throughout the night but girls had personal best splits that helps keep them motivated for the future. Devyn Wilson split in the 200, Sage Lane split in the 200, Katie Field in the 1500 and 800 in the 4x800, Emily Wilson in the Shuttle Hurdle, Avrie Hanson in the Sprint Med and Addit Lundquist in the 4x200. All these girls ran some of their best times of the season.

The girls worked hard every day and continued to improve throughout the season and that is all we can ask from them. We need more girls out and will be able to have more team success but the one thing nice is we have zero seniors so we return everyone next year.

Coach Swieter wants to thank his coaches Tonya Harrison, Gary Balk and Matt Hanson. They do a great job working with these girls and their hard work has helped all of them get better.
