The Southeast Valley Jaguar 7th and 8th grade football teams played their second game of the season here at Burnside Tuesday night against Pocahontas Area. The 8th grade started out with a bang with a 34-0 victory. What a difference a week makes, The Jags received quality minutes from the Offensive line which includes Hayden Greene, Trevynn Anderson, Elijah Weier, Hayden Butrick and Carson Roper. Logan Jaseschke had a great night on the ground with a td run of 4 yards. Ian Brunner had a 6yd TD pass from quarterback Casey Hanson. Hanson also had a 8 yd rushing TD. Wyatt Goodpaster had a 1 yard run for a TD and 2 pt conversion. Bryce Harrison had a great night with a 18 yd TD run and 1 rushing 2 pt conversion and caught one pass for a 2 pt conversion. The defense had a great night with Ian Brunner recovering a fumble. The Jags also received outstanding kickoffs by Spencer Peterson that pinned the Indians deep all night. The 8th grade is now 1-1 on the season.

The 7th grade came out a very motivated squad and came away with a 22-0 win with the Offensive and defensive lines dominating and setting the tone early. Korban Spangler, Josh Martens,Kolton Hoag and Jake Paterson did an outstanding job for the night. The outstanding linebacker duo of Keenan Wellman and Deagan Brandel flew to the ball and kept Poky in check all night.  Quarterback Landon Vote had a TD run of 4 yds. Teegan Gutshall had a 4 yd TD run and a 2 pt conversion. Colby Peterson had a solid night with a 8 yd td run and a 2 point conversion run. The 7th grade improves to 1-1 on the season.
