Jags Dominate Rams

The Southeast Valley JH Football teams played Greene County here at Burnside. The 7th grade got things started with a dominating 38-0 shutout of the Rams. Korbin Spangler started the scoring with a big safety on the first series. The Jags had quite the rushing attack with Dawson Tuel with TD runs of 10yds, 55 yds and 16 yds. Teegan Gutshall had TD runs of 1 yds, 46 yds and 2 two point conversion plays. Landon Vote had a fumble recovery on the night and the d line combo of Josh Martens and Korbin Spangler stuffed the Rams all night. The 7th grade improves to 3-2 on the season.


The 8th grade came away with a dominating 38-0 win of their own. Logan Jasecke had himself a night with touchdown runs of 4 yds, 75 yds and 3yds. Jaeschke also had two two point conversion plays on the night. Quarterback Casey Hanson had TD runs of 20 yds and 25 yds. Hanson also had two big pass plays to tight ends Ian Brunner and Karson Roper. The Jags were strong on both the offensive and defensive lines with Hayden Greene, Hayden Butrick, Trevn Anderson, Clay Lambert and Kyle Eastman leading the way. The Jags received outstanding defensive end play from Ian Brunner and Karson Roper and outstanding d back play from the quad of Declan Mcgwire, Owen Pudenz, Kolton Ollinger and Alex Burger. Wyatt Goodpaster had an outstanding game at linebacker plus 2 rushing 2 pt conversion plays.  Spencer Peterson once again provided outstanding kicking on special teams pinning the Rams deep on kickoffs. The 8th grade is now 4-1 on the season.
