Jags Open 2022 Season

The Southeast Valley junior high volleyball teams opened their season on September 8th against Manson Northwest Webster. Both 7th and 8th grade teams lost to the Cougars: 7th grade lost 2-6 and 8th lost 0-6. The following week the girls would travel to Coon Rapids Bayard and to South Central Calhoun.

Against the Crusaders, the Jags played close, however the score did not fall in their favor. The 7th grade squad fell 0-3 and the 8th graders lost 1-2. Thursday (9/15) the girls faced two talented Titan teams that defeated both 7th and 8th grade teams 0-6.

The losses on Thursday brings the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams’ record to 0-3. Despite the lopsided win/loss record, the Jaguars are a dominant and determined group of young woman, forcing their opponents to earn every point.

The SVMS volleyball teams look to add a couple to the win column this week. Carroll Kuemper comes to town on Monday (9/19) and the Jags will take on PAC on Thursday (9/22): 7th grade will host the Indians and 8th grade travels to Pocahontas.
