The junior high girls basketball team ended their season on Thursday (January 12) in Rockwell City after a week full of games. 

After returning from the break, the girls had three games starting on Monday (January 9). The girls welcomed Manson Northwest Webster to Burnside on Monday. The seventh grade girls defeated the Cougars 26-10 and the 8th graders fell 5-35. A quick turnaround, found the girls traveling on Tuesday to battle the Rockets from Paton Churdan. Again, the 7th graders defeated Paton Churdan 42-6 and the 8th graders lost 11-35. After one day off, the teams traveled to Rockwell City to cross the finish line of their season. The seventh graders took down the Titans 38-20 and the 8th graders lost 8-58. At the conclusion of the season the 7th grade team earned a record of 7 wins and 3 losses. The 8th graders had a record of 2 wins and 8 losses. 

The season was long with the weather causing some cancellations, but the girls persevered and found success along the way. The junior high girls are competitors and worked hard to improve all season long. There was a lot of growth and building done and fun had between the months of November and January!
