Twin Lakes Conference Champs!

The Southeast Valley Boys Junior High Track Team loaded the bus for the last time this season, traveling to Pocahontas Friday, May 12th, for the Twin Lakes Conference Meet. The Jags returned home with TLC Conference Champs 2023 honors and completed the track season Undefeated!

The Southeast Valley Boys worked hard all season and it showed during their team performance. The boys set a goal of being 3-peat Conference Champs, and they achieved that goal on Friday evening! The Jaguars also achieved their team goal of a perfect 7-0 for the season! The boys dominated the meet from start to finish, setting PR’s in every field event and every running event. This victory was a complete team effort! One of the best things about being part of this team is the support these boys show for each other. It is that support that creates such an outstanding team atmosphere. Logan Jaeschke put on a clinic in the high jump area, clearing his season goal of 5-08 and setting a new Jr. High track record. Jaeschke also lowered his previous school record in the 400 meter dash, clocking 56.14.

“This is a very talented group of young athletes and their futures are looking bright! It has been a privilege and a whole lot of fun to coach these boys, along with Coach Johnson and Coach Butrick. This is a season we will never forget! “ head coach Amber Sorenson.

A special thank you to our managers Caleb Shirbroun, Obin Songer, Caleb Hayes, Rigo Trujillo, and Hunter Miller for their help this season, we really appreciate your help. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families and the team members for their support, and for making this season an unforgettable one!
