Southeast Valley girls played in the 2A First Round Regional Meet at Clarmond Country Club in Clarion on May 16th.

Eight teams competed. Manson NW Webster didn't have a full team, so they didn't have a team score. Seventh place was Iowa Falls-Alden with a 470. Sixth place was Clarion-Goldfield-Dows with a 465. Fifth place was Southeast Valley with a 458. Fourth place was Pocahontas Area with a 424. Third place was Eagle Grove with a 418. Second place and advancing to the second round regional meet was East Sac County with a 408. First place and advancing to the second round regional meet was Grundy Center with a 371.

The top 6 individuals, including ties, were Kennedy Thacker from Iowa Falls-Alden in sixth place with a 101. Kahlynn Draper from Grundy Center in fifth place with a 97. Reagan Pekarek from Grundy Center in fourth place with a 96. Makenna Steiger from East Sac County in third place with a 94. Avery Knutsen from Grundy Center is runner-up with an 92. Leah Larson from Grundy Center is medalist with an 86. Those not already advancing with their team will advance as individuals at the second round regional meet.

It was a brutally windy day for our regional meet. The girls played their best in the conditions they were given. I am very proud of how hard they worked and their positive attitudes. They all did a great job!

I am very proud of my entire team this season! They worked hard, encouraged each other, improved immensely, and most important of all, they had fun.
